Buying Guide – Snow Foam & Pre-Wash

Using Snow Foam helps to break down and remove dirt and grime which accumulates on your cars paintwork over time, making this a great first step to washing a dirty car as you don’t have to make contact with the paint surface with a wash mitt or sponge. Pre-Wash products help break down this dirt even further, resulting in minimal dirt left on the car so it is ready for the wash (shampoo) stage.

Recommendation – Pre-Wash

A Pre-Wash product is used before the shampooing / washing stage and are designed to loosen any dirt from the vehicles surface.

From our personal experience we highly recommend Valet Pro Citrus Pre-Wash, again like all Valet Pro products it comes in 2 sizes, 1L and 5L. The product can be highly diluted (up to 1:10) and is highly effective at removing most road grime from any surface.

Recommendation – Snow Foam

Snow foam comes in many variations. Some claim to ‘cling’ to the paint better than others, some boast advance cleaning power, and others are promoted due to the different colours they are manufactured in. Snow Foams can be used in conjunction with a Pre-Wash product to give added cleaning power before you touch the paint with a Wash Mitt.

Auto Finesse Avalanche produces thick, clinging foam which is totally safe on all paint surfaces. The snow foam really does cut through dirt, removing traffic film without having to touch the car.

Valet Pro Advanced Neutral Snow Foam is a powerful, pH neutral snow foam. Perfect for removing bug splats, road grime and softening dirt prior to washing with shampoo. Due to its Ph neutral formula Advanced Neutral Snow Foam is perfect for maintaining your vehicles finish as it will not remove paint protection like wax or sealant. Available in 1L or 5L.

Bilt Hamber Auto Foam helps to soften dirt and grime allowing for it to be rinsed away. It’s PH Neutral Formula means it’s safe to use on existing wax and sealant layers.
